Baby Moons – Babies have been learning about our first emotions by looking and reading the emotion books. We have also been using the emotions puppets and having lots of fun. We have also been using paper and chalk to make marks on the paper. This is a fun activities as well as developing our hand eye coordination. 

Teenie Moons- In Teenie Moons this month we have been learning about varieties of shapes and colours through activities in our tuff tray. We have also been exploring natural materials as part of our current improvement within the room. We have been watering and taking care of our living herbs and plant pots. 

Mini Moons- In Mini Moons we have been looking into safety and how we keep ourselves safe. We started with sun safety as the children has been coming into nursery telling us about their paddling pools. We made a tuff tray with a sun and discussed what kind of things we need to keep us safe. Sunglasses, sun hat, sun cream and lots and lots of water. We are now looking into people who keep us safe. 

Full Moons - This month in Full Moons room we were talking about emotions, we made sensory bottles and matched the colours of each bottle with the emotion puppets while talking of how we were feeling. The children were building lots of ‘tall ships’ this came from the children talking about how they had attended the event in Aberdeen with their families. 

Updates - Adina has started in the Full Moons room, she will be working part time for Wednesday – Friday. 

Graduation for children leaving to go to school will take place on the 16th of August 2025.
